What do they say now?

The stories of former students from Wisdom Christian School are nothing short of inspiring! Hailing from the challenging environment of a slum in Zambia, these remarkable individuals have experienced a profound transformation through the gift of a free Christian education. Their voices resonate with joy and hope, as they share how WCS has not only equipped them with academic knowledge but also nurtured their spiritual and personal growth.

The impact of this education extends beyond individual success; it is a powerful catalyst for breaking the cycle of poverty within their communities. Join us in supporting Wisdom Christian School to continue this vital mission and create more stories of transformation! DONATE HERE

A FEW TESTIMONIES

I started school [at WCS] in grade three in the year 2011. [ age 10]

My experience at Wisdom Christian School was awesome as I came from a foreign nation, where English language was foreign, I learnt how to speak, read and write in English because of the help teachers rendered while I was at Wisdom.

Additionally, teachers encouraged us to pray, they also motived us to study extra hard as while as staying focused. Nonetheless friends from my neighborhood would laugh at me; that the school I went to was not fully developed and built because at that time Wisdom Christian School was in the process of constructing classes.

I met teachers with kind hearts who always desired to help leaners .... I also learnt how to believe in the word of God because of the devotions we used to have.

Whenever our sponsors visited our school I enjoyed each and every game we played with them and my fellow learners.

Words alone are not enough to express how grateful I am for the help Wisdom Christian School has rendered to me during my school days at the school.

I was enrolled at Wisdom Christian School in 2012, I spent six years in primary. I skipped grade three due to the fact that I was considered to be smart and my performance was outstanding. I was inspired by teacher Mirriam who was our class teacher, she encouraged us to study hard. On the other hand, the free education we received was also a motivating factor.

My happiest moment at Wisdom Christian School was the time when friends from America visited us, we played Christian games with them. I also enjoyed the moment of puppeteers because it made me to be famous, I loved the role I played.

I completed senior secondary education in year 2021, upon completion of senior secondary education I applied at Luanshya Technical and Business college and I obtained a craft certificate in electrical engineering.

Wisdom Christian School helped me in terms of my academic life. The institution has made me to be who I am today I appreciate the institution and the management for everything they have done for me.

I am grateful and humbled to the almighty God and to the Wisdom Christian School management, for the financial support they rendered to me from my first grade to the eighth grade. May the good Lord bless the director of the institution and the Donors.

Got Chickens?

Thanks to the generous donations of many, we were able to purchase baby chicks, raise them, and harvest them to provide a special lunch for the 600 children of Wisdom Christian School.

This latest harvest of 100 chickens allowed us to offer a unique source of protein for the children's meal, which we aren't typically able to do. We are grateful for this opportunity to provide a special meal for the children and are committed to continuing the lunch program four days a week. Every meal contains protein but the everyday protein is plant-based.

Your contribution not only provided much-needed sustenance for these children but also helped to support the local economy by creating jobs for farmers, suppliers, and locals who who oversee raising the chicks.

Annie puts the finishing touches on the meal.
Our approach to education includes not only academic learning and spiritual nurturing but also practical skills such as farming and animal husbandry. By teaching these valuable skills, we empower individuals and communities to become self-sufficient and build a brighter future.

Our donors make a significant impact on the community and the school, helping us to achieve our mission of breaking the cycle of poverty and providing sustainable development in this slum of a slum in Ndola, Zambia.

Thank you for your support and for making a difference for the Kingdom!

Stress Less, Test Best

7th graders

With standardized tests just around the corner, students at Wisdom Christian School are gearing up to ensure they are fully prepared.

To help alleviate the stress of test day, the school has set up a simulated exam experience that mimics the actual testing environment.

This allows students to get a feel for what the real test day will be like and helps them feel more confident and prepared.

Critical exams are for 7th and 9th graders. The results will determine if they progress to the next grade and which school they will attend.

The school's commitment to ensuring students are well-prepared for these important exams is just one of the many reasons why Wisdom Christian School is making a difference for children living in a slum of a slum outside Ndola, Zambia.

The students will have a break during August. Then they will take their exams during the next term in September.

Kickstart a New School Year

The start of a new school year is always an exciting time, but this year it's even more special as we can finally put the cholera outbreak behind us.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of healthcare workers and YOUR prayers, the disease has subsided and we can welcome back our students with open arms. It's a time to celebrate and be thankful for the blessings we've received.

As we embark on this new academic year, let's remember the importance of education and the role it plays in shaping the future for these children in the slum. We are excited to see what our students will achieve and can't wait to be a part of their journey!

Students send their greetings!

The younger classes are very full! Kindergarten has over 30 students and 1st grade is around 50 students - in one class, no teacher's aides.

Look What's Cooking

Our students have been busy cooking up a storm at the end of the school year! From mouth-watering entrees to delectable desserts, our talented chefs are putting their culinary skills to the test.

And that's not all! They even get to cook up some of the chickens that our school raised, giving them a unique farm-to-table experience.

And they get to eat their own creations!
